- Read on to learn more about the pros and cons of the 2024 GranTurismo.
Pro: It’s fast, like really fast.
The GranTurismo is undoubtedly a Maserati. Featuring a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 Nettuno under the hood, the GranTurismo Modena generates 483 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, taking 3.7 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. The GranTurismo Trofeo takes things up a notch, and delivers a robust 542 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 mph is achieved in a brisk 3.2 seconds.
GranTurismo Performance Highlights
- Traction AWD for all trims.
- Max Speed 188 mph (Modena), 199 mph (Trofeo)
- 0-60 mph 3.7 sec (Modena), 3.3 sec (Trofeo)
Pro: It’s A Renaissance Sculpture on Wheels
Some may not like the 2024 GranTurismo. Some may not like the heart-thumping performance (for some reason), some people may not like the exquisite interior. But no one, in their right mind can say the GranTurismo is an ugly car. With beautiful sweeping curves reminiscent of Renaissance sculptures and a sleek silhouette, the GranTurismo is not just a sports car, but a study of design and elegance.
Pro: It’s Surprisingly Spacious
No chiropractor appointment necessary. Even with being a 2-door performance couple the interior of the GranTurismo is surprisingly spacious, offering ample leg room for both driver and passengers. The rear dimensions allow sub-6 ft passengers to sit comfortably, while the Driver’s seating position inspires confidence and provides maximum visibility. There’s no official interior dimensions from Maserati, but give us a call and sit inside one in person at Maserati of Tysons, VA and you’ll know what I mean.
Pro: Fuel Economy Is Actually Pretty Good
You’d think with 500+ horsepower, the 2024 GranTurismo would deliver poor fuel economy. But fortunately, you’d be mistaken. Especially when compared to the competition, the Maserati GranTurismo is pretty frugal on gas.
- 2024 Maserati GranTurismo Modena & Trofeo 21 mpg combined, 18 mpg city/ 27 mpg highway
The competition, which includes the 2024 Nissan GTR and the 2024 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT are less efficient while offering similar performance numbers.
Con: Limited Cargo Space
If you’re considering the GranTurismo, chances are, you already know limited cargo space comes with the package. Knowing this, it’s not a surprise the 2024 GranTurismo can carry 10.95 ft³ of cargo, which is actually a good size in this segment.
As you can see, the only real con of the GranTurismo is it’s limited cargo capacity. Sure, the price of entry could be a con. Sure, the maintenance premium could be a con. But the GranTurismo is no regular commuter. It’s a Maserati.
