Maserati Greycale to have a Super Engine

Maserati is still developing its newest supercar named the Maserati Greycale, but it’s important to know what will be powering such a powerful vehicle. A supercar needs a super engine after all.

What to Expect

According to the most recent reports, there will be two gasoline engines offered at launch, one of these engines is confirmed to be a hybrid. But another interesting headline that’s been making waves across the internet is a claim that the soon-to-be-released MC20 supercar’s special V6 will be offered too. It appears that one engine will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. An engine of this magnitude will be able to produce 296 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. As we mentioned before it looks like there will also be a second engine from the MC20 which is stated to be a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6.

It is speculated by some that there is also a chance for a third engine to be in the mix as a possibility for the upcoming Greycale. Some think that the current 2.9 liter V6 from the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadifoglio has a chance, and would even be a better choice than the other two mentioned. Financially it would make sense for Alfa Romeo to take advantage of what they already have an abundance of, but it’s still too early to be sure.
