Maserati Ghibli To Be Discontinued For 2024

The Legendary Maserati Ghibli Is Set To Be Discontinued For 2024
First introduced in 1967, the Maserati Ghibli has been Maserati’s staple performance sedan for over a half-century. Still iconic as it was back then, it is disheartening that the Ghibli will be discontinued for 2024. However, all is not lost as Maserati will start shifting focus to their electronic car development, so exciting things are still in the horizon. However, we can’t just ignore the fact that the Maserati Ghbili will be going away forever. Before it does however, why not pick one up, for at least a test drive? There’s a reason why the Maserati Ghibli is one of the most iconic sedans throughout automotive history.
White-Knuckle Performance
Don’t let the sophisticated styling of the Ghibli fool you, there’s a monster underneath the hood; specifically three Ferrari Sourced monsters. The Ghibli GT receives a 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged V6, producing 345 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy for the GT comes out to 18/25 mpg. Ghibli Modena and Modena Q4 receive the same engine, but with performance tuning. The Modenas produce 424 horsepower and 428 lb-ft, with a 17/25 mpg fuel economy rating. The final trim, the Trofeo receives a monstrous 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8, cranking out 580 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy takes a hit due to the higher performance, at 13/20 mpg.
The Maserati Ghibli comes equipped with a host of performance features such as:
- Aluminum Paddle Shifters
- Skyhook Adaptive Suspension System
- 12-Way Front Sport Seats
- Available AWD Drive
- Corsa Drive Mode
- Carbon Fiber Accents
- Dual Heat Extractors
- Power Adjustable Pedals
It’s Also Safe
The 2023 Maserati Ghibli offers a vast array of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems to keep you and your valued passengers safe and sound. Features include:
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go
The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go adjusts your speed to maintain the preset distance from the vehicle ahead. You will feel safer than ever when driving on highways and freeways in limited or moderate traffic.
Lane Keeping Assist
The Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) is a safe driving feature that is designed to identify lane markings and initiate a steering maneuver in order to prevent unintentional lane crossings.
Surround View Camera
The Surround View Camera assists you during your maneuvering procedures, making every parking even safer.
Highway Assist System
The Highway Assist System (HAS) is a level 2 autonomous driving system, designed to help you steer, accelerate, brake and keep your vehicle in its lane, especially when you’re driving on highways or limited access freeways.
Active Blind Spot Assist
The Active Blind Spot Assist (ABSA) detects vehicles entering your side and rear blind spots when changing lanes, overtaking and parking.
Traffic Sign Recognition
The Traffic Sign Recognition comes in handy for monitoring different types of sign: speed limits, temporary speed limits and overtaking restriction zones.
Forward Collision Warning Plus
Whether it’s a rush hour, a big event or a traffic jam, the Forward Collision Warning Plus system reduces the risk of rear-end collisions to prevent or limit vehicle damage.
It’s Highly Luxurious
The Maserati Ghibli is not only a performer, but a beautiful one, matched with premium materials. Luxury features of the Ghibli include:
- Carbon Fiber Interior
- Premium Bowers & Wilkins Audio System
- Ventilated Front Seats
- Auto-Dimming Mirror
- Alcantara Headliner
- Heated Windshield
- Soft-Close Doors

It’s sad to see the Ghibli get discontinued, but hopefully the legacy of the Ghibli lives on in Maserati’s future models. Whether it be it’s thrilling performance, it’s practical nature, or the premium experience, the iconic Ghibli is simply a must-have for your collection or even as a commuter.
