Just because you’re ordering take out doesn’t mean you can’t order something special for an in-home date night – or just to give a Tuesday some extra flair! Cafe Tatti serves up French and European cuisine in McLean six days a week and offers take-out for dinner service.

About Caffe Tatti

Cafe Tatti began as the Iron Skillet in the mid-20th century under chef and founder John Kalpos, who passed the torch to the current owner, Yiannis Skliras, who had experience in fine New  York restaurants. Yiannis was born and raised in Greece, where hospitality is a sacred tenet of life, and he has spent his life honing his cooking and hospitality skills. The menu draws heavily from French cuisine, with elements of European influence as well as Greek influence, honoring Yiannis’ culture. Every dish is exquisitely crafted and every guest is important at Cafe Tatti, offering a one-of-a-kind dining experience in the Northern Virginia region.

The menu at Cafe Tatti is extensive enough to offer plenty of choices without having so many dishes that diners feel overwhelmed by it all. Standouts from the dinner menu include:

Appetizers

• Avocado Vinaigrette – sliced avocado with tomatoes and Greek olives, vinaigrette drizzle.
• Celery Remoulade – roots of celery lightly shredded with creme sauce

Entrees

• Filet of Sole Amandine – sauteed with lemon butter, shallots, white wine, and sliced almonds.
• Sea Scallops Provencale – sauteed with lemon butter, garlic, tomato, and white wine.
• Veal Schnitzel – breaded and fried veal served with a fried egg, anchovies, capers, and brown sauce.
• Coq au Vin – half chicken poached in red wine, mushrooms, and brown sauce.
• Chicken a la Tatti – sauteed with mushrooms, apples, shallots, wine, and creme sauce.

Dessert

• Chocolate Delight Cake – layers of moist chocolate cake with chocolate ganache.
• Carrot Cake – classic carrot cake with cream cheese icing.
• Creme Caramel – a flan-like custard dessert with caramel sauce.
