Performance
The 2023 Maserati Grecale comes in three trims; GT ($63,500), Modena ($72,900), and Trofeo ($102,500). The GT trim comes equipped with a robust turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 capable of delivering 296 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. The Modena produces the same amount of torque, but thanks to its mild-hybrid system, cranks out an impressive 324 horsepower. A twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 is reserved for the top-of-the-line Grecale Trofeo, and generates a blistering 532 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque. Both the MGT and Modena enjoy a fuel economy rating of 22/29 mpg, whereas the Trofeo gets 18/25 mpg.
For 2023, the Porsche Macan offers 4 trims; the base Macan ($57,500), Macan T ($63,100), Macan S ($68,400), and Macan GTS ($82,900). Both the Macan and Macan T receive a Turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine capable of 261 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Similarly, both the Macan S and GTS receive the same 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6, but receive different tuning. The Macan S pushes out 375 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, while the GTS generates 434 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. For fuel economy, the base Macan and Macan T get 19/25 mpg, the Macan S gets 17/23, and the Macan GTS gets 17/22.
In terms of pure performance, Maserati’s line of Grecales clearly have the upper hand. Even when comparing all the trims, the Maserati wins every time in performance and fuel economy.
