Maserati GranTurismo History
The Maserati GranTurismo was unveiled in Italy in 2007 at the Geneva Motor Show. Throughout the years, different versions of the GranTurismo were produced, but the GranTurismo models that received the most sales were the GranTurismo S, GranTurismo S Automatic, and GranTurismo Sport.
The GranTurismo S was unveiled in 2008 and was in production until 2012. Its thrilling power was released with 434 horsepower and 360 lb.-ft. of torque. Though it was in production for 5 model years, it was only available in North America for the 2009 model year, only offering 300 units. In 2009, an automatic transmission version of the GranTurismo S was released for production and was in production until 2012, like the GranTurismo S. Replacing both S and S Automatic versions is the GranTurismo Sport. It has been in production since 2012 and upgraded the power of the vehicle to 454 horsepower and updated its look on both the interior and exterior.
